So Much for a Diet

Okay, so in my last blog I talked about how I had no use in the computer industry. Now, we are going to talk about what app I would develop if I acquired the proper skill set, which is probably never. So all of this is completely hypothetical.

I couldn’t think of anything at the top of my head but I’m currently craving something salty. Which leads me to my app idea. What if an app could guess your cravings? 

I confess, I am a picky eater. I have tons of problems with food. Sometimes, I take too long to decide on a meal that I skip it altogether. Sometimes, I get hooked on a flavor and I eat that same dish for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that after a few rotations I never want to see that particular dish ever again. Sometimes, all I want is a meal that I’ve tried from another part of the country. The point is that I have trouble with cravings and food in general. That’s why I have the perfect idea for an app.

It’s fairly simple. There are different stages. First, the app lets you pick the flavor profile you want, whether it’s sweet, spicy, salty, etc. or a combination. Then, you pick if you want a heavy, hearty meal or a light one. Then, you could pick a region or a country, if you want Chinese food or Greek cuisine and the like. After filtering your preferences the app shows you a list of restaurants near you that have the dish that you described. It also gives you the option to compile a list of recipes that match your preferences. To put simply, it’s a dating app for food.
